The bubble islands story of the Incarna were inspired after creating this sealed, bioactive terrarium during the 2020 lockdown. It is still alive and thriving to this day.

Iconstelloids came about after realizing a cloud of Carnalairs forming a shape would leave a lot of empty space, so I used empty space to create the shape instead.

Iconstelloids are the Incarna’s constellations, but unlike a grouping of stars, their absence creates animated shapes. The word “Iconstelloid” is a portmanteau of Icon (image); Stellar, plus the affix, -iod (not stars); and void (nothing).
